Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Director of Operations & Manufacturing in Los Angeles to lead the PEPI practice’s manufacturing and distribution efforts. You will drive cost improvements and coordinate with private equity sponsors and portfolio companies to maximize EBITDA and value creation.

The role demands deep manufacturing and supply chain expertise, with leadership of cross‑functional teams and collaboration with C‑suite partners; MBA is a plus.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years in industry and consulting with at least 4 years in manufacturing/distribution.
• Experience with private equity sponsors and portfolio companies.
• Proven track record with C-suite and deal/operating partners.
• MBA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of target manufacturing and distribution operations.
• Evaluate production facilities' maintainability and operability.
• Review data to understand efficiency, capacity, and equipment conditions.
• Provide shop floor insights through dialogue with employees and data review.
• Identify cost improvements via lean, outsourcing, or facility consolidation.
• Develop transformation plans and identify risks and mitigations.
• Oversee deliverable quality and manage day‑to‑day relationships with the team.
