Job summary

Maybell Quantum is seeking an experienced operations leader to run our manufacturing organization, reporting to the VP of Operations. The Director will own manufacturing planning, supply continuity, and cost across our cryogenic hardware lines, working closely with production and quality teams to scale from prototype to repeatable production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years in manufacturing operations, including 5+ years leading and developing teams.
• Demonstrated experience taking complex hardware from prototype through repeatable production.
• Hands-on ERP/MRP ownership with BOM and routing experience.
• Experience building planning/inventory processes in low-volume, high-mix hardware environments.
• Strong knowledge of quality and continuous improvement methods (root cause analysis, CAPA, lean).
• Excellent communication skills with cross-functional influence.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing planning and scheduling — build plans, capacity, on-time delivery commitments.
• Lead, coach, and grow the manufacturing organization.
• Partner with engineering to bring new products into production, driving DFM and clean handoffs.
• Define, baseline, and report operational metrics (on-time delivery, inventory turns, build cycle time).
• Oversee ERP/MRP platform implementation and data integrity.
• Run demand and materials planning, forecast-to-build, and inventory investments.
• Collaborate with quality on supplier quality and nonconformance resolution.
• Own the manufacturing budget and capital plan, including tooling and facilities.
• Drive continuous improvement programs to increase output.
• Manage supply chain risk with procurement.
