Job summary

Maybell Quantum Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced Director of Manufacturing Operations to lead our growing manufacturing organization.

Reporting to the VP of Operations, you will own planning, scheduling, cost, and supplier quality across cryogenic hardware lines, partnering with production, quality, and engineering to scale hardware from prototype to repeatable production. You will drive ERP/MRP implementation, build cross-functional processes, and manage the budget and capital plan.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in manufacturing operations, including 5+ years leading and developing teams.
  • Experience taking complex hardware from prototype through repeatable production.
  • Hands-on ERP/MRP ownership including implementation or major module rollout.
  • Experience building planning and inventory processes in low-volume, high-mix hardware.
  • Strong quality and continuous improvement methods (root cause analysis, CAPA, lean).
  • Excellent communication and ability to influence across production, quality, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own manufacturing planning and scheduling — build plans, capacity, and on-time delivery commitments.
  • Lead, coach, and grow the manufacturing organization.
  • Partner with engineering to bring new products into production with design-for-manufacturability.
  • Define, baseline, and report operational metrics (on-time delivery, schedule adherence, inventory turns).
  • Own ERP/MRP implementation and data integrity (BOM, routing, planning parameters).
  • Run demand and materials planning including forecast-to-build and safety stock.
  • Manage supplier quality and nonconformance upstream of the build.
  • Own the manufacturing budget and capital plan (tooling, equipment, facility capacity).
  • Drive continuous improvement programs to increase output.
  • Manage supply chain risk alongside procurement (sole-source risk, long-lead components).

Maybell Quantum is seeking an experienced operations leader to run our manufacturing organization. Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Director of Manufacturing Operations ownsmanufacturing planning,supply continuity, and cost across our cryogenic hardware lines, working in close partnership with our production and quality teams.Our ideal candidate has scaled hardware fromlow-volumebuilds to repeatable production and is equally comfortable on the floor and in front of the executive team.

Responsibilities
  • Ownmanufacturing planning and scheduling — build plans, capacity, and on-time delivery commitments — in partnership with the production team.
  • Lead, coach, and grow the manufacturing organization.
  • Partner with engineering to bring new products into production, driving design-for-manufacturability and clean hardware handoffs.
  • Define, baseline, and report the operational metrics this role owns — on-time delivery, schedule adherence, inventory accuracy and turns, material cost variance, and build cycle time — and set improvement targets against them.
  • Ownmanufacturing'simplementation anduse ofa newERP/MRPplatform— BOM and routing accuracy, master data, planning parameters, and inventory transactions — and drive the transaction discipline that makes the data trustworthy.
  • Run demand and materials planning, including forecast-to-build conversion, MRP-driven purchasing signals, safety stock policy, and inventory investment levels.
  • Partner with the quality team on supplier quality, nonconformance resolution, and documentation control so defects are caught upstream of the build.
  • Own the manufacturing budget and capital plan, including tooling, equipment, and facility capacity.
  • Drive continuous improvement programs to increaseoutput.
  • Manage supply chain risk alongside procurement, including sole-source exposure, long-lead components, and supplier qualification.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, ora relatedfield.
  • 10+ years in manufacturing operations, including 5+ years leading and developing teams.
  • Demonstrated experience taking complex hardware from prototype through repeatable production.
  • Hands-on ERP/MRP ownership, includingan implementation, migration, or major module rollout, plus BOM and routing structures, planning parameters, and inventory control.
  • Experience building planning and inventory processes from the ground up in a low-volume, high-mix hardware environment.
  • Strong command of quality and continuous improvement methods, such as root cause analysis, CAPA, and lean.
  • Excellent communication skills, witha track recordof influencing acrossproduction, quality,andengineering teams and presentingto executives and investors.

Base salary: $165,000 - $180,000
