Job summary

Horton Emergency Vehicles, part of Terex, is seeking a Director of Operations at its Grove City, OH facility. You will lead manufacturing departments, develop strategic direction, and implement lean principles to improve quality and profitability.

Responsibilities include supervising Production Managers and hourly staff, coordinating with Materials, Engineering, and Sales, and driving safety and continuous improvement across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field; Master's preferred.
• 5+ years in a custom manufacturing environment.
• 7+ years in supervisory/leadership roles.
• Lean principles experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises a manufacturing team across all processes.
• Sets plant strategy and improvement targets to meet goals.
• Plans daily operations and production scheduling.
• Manages overhead and direct labor costs within P&L.
• Leads lean initiatives and drives continuous improvement.
• Acts as Safety Champion ensuring health and safety standards.
• Collaborates with Materials, Engineering, Sales, and Product teams.
• Mentors staff and develops training needs.
• Evaluates procedures for efficiency improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.
