Qualifications

• Associate degree (bachelor preferred) or equivalent in manufacturing.
• Five+ years supervisory experience in metal fabrication/machine shop.
• Five+ years’ experience in vehicle production, metal fabrication or custom manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Assign daily work to hourly personnel to meet schedule commitments and cycle time requirements.
• Hire, onboard and train new employees.
• Ensure departmental compliance, attendance, and adherence to policies; enforce discipline as required.
• Provide ongoing performance feedback and coaching for production personnel.
• Develop training plans and maintain qualification/skill matrices.
• Input on staffing needs and area budgets for personnel, equipment, and supplies.
• Prioritize workload to meet deadlines and optimize customer workflow.
• Ensure safety, quality, regulatory, and environmental requirements are met.
• Review work for technical accuracy against shop orders and drawings.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and collaborate with Materials, Engineering and Sales Administration.
• Maintain equipment and tooling; participate in daily management meetings.
