Job summary

The University of South Carolina invites applications for the Director of Development for the Anne Frank Center. Under limited supervision, you will lead a comprehensive major gifts program, coordinating fundraising strategies and donor engagement across university and AFC teams.

The role requires strong communication, relationship-building and willingness to travel evenings and weekends. A Bachelor’s degree and several years in higher education fundraising are preferred.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of principles and methods of planning and conducting a comprehensive fundraising program.
• Outstanding oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to travel, work evenings and weekends, as required.
• Experience in major gifts fundraising and higher education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, implement, promote, coordinate and administer a comprehensive development program with emphasis on major gifts.
• Coordinate activities between the AFC and University Development teams to ensure consistency.
• Develop and maintain relationships with faculty, alumni, donors, volunteers and community partners.
