Job summary

PayActiv is seeking a Maintenance Director in Sullivan, IN to plan, organize, and direct the maintenance department, ensuring the facility is well-maintained in a safe and comfortable manner in line with regulations and policy.

The role emphasizes staffing, scheduling, preventative maintenance, coordination with external contractors, and daily rounds to ensure quality service. The incumbent will be on-call for emergencies and contribute to policy compliance and safety programs.

Qualifications

• Manages the operations of the Maintenance Department with proper staffing and scheduling of personnel
• Assists in establishing a preventative maintenance program
• Maintains fire alarm and other fire protection and preventive systems

Responsibilities

• Manages the operations of the Maintenance Department by adhering to proper staffing and scheduling of personnel
• Inspects storage rooms, work rooms, utility/janitorial closets, etc for upkeep and supply control
• Participates in facility surveys made by authorized governmental agencies
• Ensures that outside services are properly completed/supervised in accordance with contracts/work orders
• Assists in establishing a preventative maintenance program
• Meets with maintenance personnel on a regular basis and solicit advice from interdepartment supervisors concerning the operation of the maintenance department
• Assists in identifying, evaluating, and classifying routine and job related maintenance functions to ensure that tasks involving exposure to blood/body fluids are properly identified and recorded
• Mines daily rounds to assure that maintenance personnel are performing required duties and assure that appropriate maintenance procedures are being rendered
• Maintains fire alarm and other fire protection and preventive systems
• Completes carpentry and other building repairs within scope of expertise
• Maintains heating and cooling systems
• Makes electrical and plumbing repairs within scope of expertise
• Monitors, maintains, and records inventory and orders supplies as needed
• Heads snow and ice removal for sidewalks
• On-call seven days a week, 24 hours a day for emergencies
• Other duties as required by the Administrator
