Job summary

Avanti Senior Living at Flower Mound is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead building and grounds upkeep, ensure compliance with regulations, and maintain quality living spaces for residents. You will supervise staff, manage preventative programs, and respond to emergencies with a focus on safety and appearance.

Responsibilities include coordinating with housekeeping, preparing apartments for move-ins, and maintaining fire safety records.

Qualifications

• Proficient in written and verbal English.
• Ability to travel locally to fulfill job responsibilities.
• Experience with Word and Excel; ability to learn database software as needed.
• Solid understanding of laws and restrictions involving Assisted Living care.
• Strong customer service, hospitality and friendliness toward residents and staff.
• Willingness to travel overnight occasionally.
• Able to work flexible schedules in a 24-hour operation, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Implement and document preventative maintenance program for community and equipment.
• Supervise housekeeping personnel as required by community needs.
• Maintain grounds and exterior areas in coordination with landscaping contractor.
• Maintain interior areas including cleaning, carpet care, window cleaning, vinyl flooring maintenance.
• Oversee repair of facility equipment to ensure proper function.
• Train team members in equipment use and emergency procedures.
• Prepare apartments for move-ins (painting, carpet, vinyl, ceiling fans).
• Maintain fire safety and emergency records per regulations.
• Inspect resident suites for potential hazards.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance; keep QA records.
• Perform janitorial tasks and equipment maintenance.
• Transport residents in company vehicles as scheduled.
• Respond to emergencies outside normal hours.
