Hays Facilities Management has partnered with a leading private academy in Manhattan to hire a Director of Maintenance & Building Operations.
Your new role
The duties of the Director of Maintenance & Building Operations will include, among others:
- Oversight of 4 buildings, including 2 schools and a legacy building
- Manage a team of about 40 building/facilities staff
- Management of budgets, projects and preventive maintenance
- Maintain strong relationships with approved vendors
- Exhibit a customer-centric approach to colleagues, students and other stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following:
- Experience managing staff at all levels, (Porters, Maintenance Techs, Carpenters, etc.)
- Background supporting schools is a strong plus
- Strong understanding of MEP, Local Law 97, NYC building codes
- Relevant degree or Facilities Management certifications are highly preferred but not required
What you'll get in return
Base salary range of $150-$175K, plus strong benefits
