Job summary

Spring Creek Care Center in Millcreek, Utah, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, and regulatory compliance within a skilled nursing environment. You will lead maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry staff, manage the budget, and ensure safe operations across facilities.

The role requires knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, plus strong English communication and basic management skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains professional relationships with staff, vendors, and inspectors.
• Conducts routine inspections of equipment, systems, and life safety measures.
• Leads facility emergency preparedness drills.
• Manages departmental budget under Administrator direction.
• Engages positively with residents.
• Supervises maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry staff, including hiring support.
• Safely operates hand tools and small power tools.
• Provides staff training on safety, fire protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

What we're looking for:

• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems


• Ability to read, speak, and understand English; Spanish is a plus

• High school diploma or equivalent required


• Minimum of two years of maintenance experience (healthcare setting preferred)


• Able to work in varying conditions, including outdoor or confined/unpleasant environments


• Comfortable with exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases


• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50-100 lbs. without assistance


• Adequate vision and hearing (with or without assistive devices) to perform duties


• Ability to climb and work on ladders
