Silverado Lee's Summit is seeking a Director of Plant Operations to lead maintenance and facilities in a memory care community. You will ensure a safe, well‑maintained, and welcoming physical environment for residents, families, and staff.

As an experienced operations professional, you will manage maintenance teams, coordinate with other departments, and respond to emergencies while upholding safety standards. Competitive pay and growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years in hospital or institutional settings.
High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent required.
Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical repairs, laundry and housekeeping procedures.
Preferred 1 year supervising others with coaching and feedback.

Responsibilities

Oversee all functions to keep the facility in good repair and safe.
Negotiate and manage contracts with outside vendors and service providers.
Support laundry and housekeeping operations as needed.
Supervise maintenance staff and ensure timely work orders.
Respond to emergency maintenance needs and ensure safety compliance.
Collaborate with other departments to support operations.
May be required to work outside regular hours as needed.

What You’ll Be Doing

Oversee all functions required to keep the physical facility in good repair and safe for residents, staff, and visitors
Negotiate and manage contracts with outside vendors and service providers
Support laundry and housekeeping operations as needed
Supervise maintenance staff and ensure timely completion of work orders
Respond to emergency maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards
Collaborate with other departments to support community operations
May be required to work outside of regular hours depending on business needs

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospital or institutional settings
High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent required
Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical repairs, general maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping procedures
Preferred 1 year of experience supervising others, including coaching, performance feedback, and team collaboration
Effective communicator in verbal and written English
Active role: walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards
Comfortable working in an environment with animals and pets
