Job summary

Silverado Franklin is seeking a Director of Plant Operations to lead the maintenance and facilities team, ensuring a safe, welcoming physical environment for residents and staff. The role combines hands-on leadership with cross‑department collaboration to keep the campus running smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in hospital or institutional settings, strong maintenance knowledge, and the ability to supervise and coach teams. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in hospital or institutional settings.
• High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical repairs, general maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping procedures.
• Preferred 1 year of experience supervising others and coaching teams.
• Effective communicator in verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the facility's physical environment to keep it safe and well‑maintained.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with outside vendors and service providers.
• Support laundry and housekeeping operations as needed.
• Supervise maintenance staff and ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Respond to emergency maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to support community operations.
• May be required to work outside of regular hours depending on business needs.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Oversee all functions required to keep the physical facility in good repair and safe for residents, staff, and visitors
• Negotiate and manage contracts with outside vendors and service providers
• Support laundry and housekeeping operations as needed
• Supervise maintenance staff and ensure timely completion of work orders
• Respond to emergency maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Collaborate with other departments to support community operations
• May be required to work outside of regular hours depending on business needs

Anticipated pay range

$75,000 - $85,000 USD
