Job summary

Etech Hi, Inc. is seeking a Director of Lumber to lead operations across several mills in Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula. The role requires managing production, maintenance and safety while interfacing with log procurement and other departments.

The candidate will oversee multiple plant managers, travel to sites across WI and UP, and bring deep hardwood, lumber, and forestry experience. Relocation assistance is provided as part of a generous package.

Job Description:

• Drive to multiple locations across Wisconsin (WI) and the Upper Peninsula (U.P.) to help manage production, maintenance and safety of mills
• Interact with various departments including log procurement

Required work experience includes:

• 5+ years’ experience within the hardwood, lumber or forestry industry

Preferred skill/ experiences include:

• Strong knowledge of National Hardwood Lumber Association (NHLA) grading rules
• Demonstrated experience in improving productivity and reducing cost in a production environment

Required education/ licenses include:

• Bachelors in Forestry or related field
