The NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) seeks an Assistant to the Commissioner for Legislative Affairs. Under the Associate Commissioner, you will coordinate the department’s legislative portfolio and lead the legislative affairs team, shaping policy positions and drafting testimony.
The role involves supervising staff, coordinating with city and state offices, engaging with advocacy groups, and managing public comments on proposed rules.
This position may be eligible for remote work for up to 2 days per week, pursuant to the Flexible Work Pilot Program.

Under the direction of the Associate Commissioner of Intergovernmental Affairs, the Director of Legislative Affairs will be responsible for coordinating DCWP’s legislative portfolio, directing the legislative affairs team, and maintaining relationships with relevant stakeholders.
