Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage supervisors and scientists in bioanalytical assay development and validation.
• Oversee large-molecule LCMS studies to ensure GLP/GCLP compliance.
• Develop, validate, troubleshoot LCMS methods for biological samples.
• Review regulatory documents and data packages; manage timelines.

Job description

The Director of LCMS Platforms is responsible for building and leading the LCMS function within a GLP/GCLP compliant bioanalytical laboratory. This role oversees assay development, validation, study execution, and scientific strategy while maintaining strong client relationships and driving innovation in large-molecule LCMS bioanalysis.

Key Activities

• Lead and manage supervisors, PhD scientists, and non-PhD scientists in developing and validating bioanalytical and biomarker assays.
• Oversee all large molecule LCMS studies to ensure GLP/GCLP compliance and operational excellence.
• Develop, validate, troubleshoot, and optimize LCMS bioanalytical methods for biological sample testing.
• Review and author regulatory documents, technical reports, and laboratory data packages.
• Resolve scientific and technical issues to maintain study timelines and data quality.
• Present and interpret scientific data for internal teams and external clients.
• Communicate project updates and manage client expectations throughout study lifecycles.
• Maintain GLP/GCLP standards, safety practices, and laboratory operations.
• Forecast staffing and instrumentation needs; support resource planning.
• Drive innovation by identifying new technologies, instrumentation, and experimental strategies.
• Represent the company at scientific conferences and industry networking events.
• Train, mentor, and develop team members.
• Provide technical support to business development for client proposals and quotations.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience with ADC (antibody-drug conjugate) bioanalysis required.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in project management and people management.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.

Educations & Experience

• PhD or Master’s degree in biology, immunology, chemistry, pharmacology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in bioanalysis, biomarkers, or LCMS method development.
• Strong expertise in bioanalytical assays, including PK/PD and regulatory guidance.
• Proven experience developing and implementing LCMS methods for large-molecule biotherapeutics.
• Familiarity with FDA/EMA expectations, GLP/GCLP regulations, and ICH guidelines.
