Job summary

Quinnipiac University School of Law seeks a Director of Career Development to lead career advising, employer relationships, and programming for JD students and alumni. You will work with the Associate Dean of Career Development to advance student outcomes and strengthen the law school's reputation.

The role focuses on expanding employment opportunities, developing partnerships with law firms, corporations, and public agencies, and implementing strategic initiatives that enhance career outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in the legal field in a JD required or JD advantage role.
• Strong communication, analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of the legal job market and career paths in the legal profession.

Responsibilities

• Advise and support students and graduates regarding career planning, employment strategies, interviewing, networking, clerkships, internships, and post-graduate opportunities.
• Cultivate employer and alumni relationships and develop internship/externship opportunities.
• Develop and implement career-development programming and workshops to enhance professionalism.
• Collaborate with faculty and partners to improve career outcomes and employment opportunities for graduates.
• Represent the law school at employer events and in bar association activities.
• Monitor and participate in the document-review process and career development platforms.
