Job summary

Oak Ridge National Laboratory is seeking a Division Director for Laboratory Protection Division toLead the protection of special nuclear material, information, property, and personnel. The director will oversee emergency management, 24‑hour fire protection, EMS, and site operations, ensuring DOE compliance and stewardship of ORNL security programs.

The role requires seasoned leadership, strong security expertise, and ability to interact with internal/external stakeholders while guiding policy

Qualifications

BS/BA degree and 12+ years in US military, law enforcement, DOE security or emergency management.
At least 5 years in a management or leadership role.
Hours outside of the normal work schedule and occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

Provide vision and strategy for development and integration of division capabilities to meet ORNL needs.
Prepare and implement division business plans and budgets and set priorities for safety, programmatic and operational needs.
Attract, develop, motivate, and retain a diverse staff of emergency management and security professionals.
