Job summary

Oak Ridge National Laboratory seeks a Nuclear Operations Supervisor to lead operations within hot cell facilities and ensure safe, compliant execution of the R&D mission involving irradiated materials examinations.

The role requires BS and at least four years in nuclear operations, with demonstrated team leadership, and the ability to obtain/maintain a DOE clearance. This position is based at ORNL in Oak Ridge, TN.

Qualifications

• BS degree with a minimum of four years in a nonreactor nuclear hot cell facility.
• Minimum of four years of nuclear operations experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group that advances technical professional subject matter expertise for a variety of projects and operations.
• Lead operations within the hot cell facilities to ensure safe and compliant execution of the R&D mission.
• Coach and mentor operations staff on Safe Conduct of Research principles.
• Ensure work is completed per approved work packages and operating procedures.
• Develop and revise work packages and procedures for safe, compliant practices.
• Lead ESH&Q by example and ensure safety, security, and compliance with ORNL policies.
