Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family of businesses, seeks a Director of Laboratory Support Services to lead non-analytical operations across the lab and logistics spectrum. This role ensures superb service, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance to drive patient and provider satisfaction.

You will guide the end-to-end lab experience, oversee phlebotomy, service centers, courier networks, and outreach, and mentor teams to continuously improve processes and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7+ years of laboratory experience.
• 5+ years of management responsibility.
• Solid knowledge of laboratory operations, phlebotomy, customer service, logistics and regulatory requirements (CLIA, CAP, COLA, OSHA, HIPAA).
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• The Director of Laboratory Support Services provides executive leadership for all non-analytical laboratory operations, including phlebotomy, patient service centers, specimen collection, home draw services, client services, laboratory hotline operations, courier and logistics services, affiliate provider support, and outreach operations
• The Director is responsible for ensuring a seamless laboratory experience for patients, providers, and staff through exceptional service, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement
