Job summary

The Jewish Federation of St. Joseph Valley is seeking a Program Director in South Bend, IN to develop, lead, and evaluate a diverse range of educational, cultural, social, and community-building programs.

The role reports to the Executive Director and collaborates with committees, board leadership, partners, and donors to ensure relevant programming for our community, with strong engagement across ages and backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
• Ability to work with various backgrounds, ages, and demographics to ensure inclusive programming.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to work autonomously, manage multiple deadlines.
• Working knowledge of Jewish culture, traditions, holidays, and communal life.
• Computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop programming across Federation's priority areas.
• Advance program initiatives with committees to meet goals (antisemitism, interfaith relations, Israel education, peer programming).
• Assess community interests and trends via feedback, surveys, and staff input.
• Establish measurable goals and evaluate participation, impact, and financial performance; use findings to improve programs.
• Coordinate with partners and departments to ensure mission-aligned programming.
• Develop and manage program budgets with the Executive Director and monitor expenditures.
• Support fundraising goals and collaborate on marketing and communications for programs.
