Job summary

Association Management Center (AMC) is seeking a Director of Technology Services (IT) to lead IT operations, cybersecurity, and infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable technology for AMC and its clients. You will drive strategic planning, vendor management, and modernization initiatives in a hybrid role based in Schaumburg, IL.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of IT leadership, strong budgeting skills, and the ability to align technical roadmaps with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience.
• 5+ years managing teams, senior professionals, or matrixed technical functions.
• Experience overseeing technology operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, vendor management, and service delivery.
• Strong budgeting, strategic planning and people leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to executive leadership and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT operations, help desk performance, and IT service management practices.
• Ensure infrastructure performance, reliability, business continuity, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Establish documentation and governance standards across infrastructure, security, architecture, and operations while monitoring technology performance.
• Provide strategic direction for technology architecture, SaaS integration, workflow automation, data architecture, and modernization planning.
• Align engineering roadmaps with business needs, cybersecurity requirements, operational readiness, and product delivery priorities.
• Identify modernization initiatives and emerging technologies.
• Oversee cybersecurity operations, vulnerability management, incident response readiness, and security tooling strategy.
• Own the Technology Services budget, licensing, contracts, and staffing; manage vendor landscape.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technology priorities with product delivery; act as trusted advisor on strategy and investments.
• Directly lead a team of senior functional leaders across engineering, service delivery, data, and vendor management.
