Job summary

Orbus Inc. is seeking an IT Operations Director to oversee day-to-day IT activities, security, and infrastructure across all sites in the United States. This hands-on leadership role requires strategic planning, vendor management, and strong governance to ensure high availability and regulatory readiness.

The successful candidate will manage MSPs, develop SLAs, monitor systems, and drive proactive IT services to improve efficiency and reduce downtime, while maintaining budgets and contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 7+ years relevant experience handling End User Computing, Network, Security and Infrastructure.
• MS Office products and Excel/Visio installation and configuration.
• Windows Server, Workstations, and MAC OS workstations; PowerShell scripting; .NET services; Imaging and deployment.
• Sophos security software, SIEM, PAM, Mimecast, Storage/Backup (Synology, Cohesity), Monitoring tools (Solarwinds, Site24x7).
• MS SQL database roles and permissions; ODBC connections.
• Networking basics: DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SSL, SSO, MFA

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day IT operations activities, ensuring the integrity, security and high availability for all IT operations’ services.
• Develop appropriate service level agreements and maintain documentation of processes, systems, networks and change-control.
• Lead MSPs and internal teams to meet regulatory requirements and audit readiness.
• Implement metrics and KPI tracking; optimize help-desk usage and incident response.
• Oversee contracts, licenses, renewals, and vendor relationships; drive cost effectiveness.
• Develop, mentor, and direct staff to create a productive IT team environment.
