About Our Client

We're dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families struggling with mental health and learning disorders by giving them the help they need. We've become the leading independent nonprofit in children's mental health by providing gold-standard evidence-based care, delivering educational resources to millions of families each year, training educators in underserved communities, and developing tomorrow's breakthrough treatments.

Position Details:

As part of the Information Technology (IT) team, you will report to the Chief Technology Officer. As the Director of IT Operations, you ensure that our client's technology services are secure, reliable, scalable, and responsive to the needs of the organization. You lead the teams, processes, vendors, and technology platforms that keep the organization operating effectively, enabling clinicians, researchers, educators, and staff to focus on delivering mission impact.

In addition, you own operational outcomes across infrastructure, end-user computing, service delivery, cybersecurity operations, cloud services, and vendor management. You are responsible for maintaining high service levels, reducing operational risk, optimizing technology investments, and continuously improving the efficiency and effectiveness of IT operations through leadership, governance, and execution.

This is an exempt, full-time position and requires a minimum of four (4) days per week in the office, as determined by your supervisor in our NYC headquarters office. The in-office requirement and schedule are subject to change based on the needs of the program and the organization.

You Will:
  • Ensure the availability, performance, security, and reliability of our client's technology infrastructure, including networks, telecommunications, collaboration platforms, end-user computing, cloud services, data center resources, and operationally supported applications.
  • Maintain a secure and compliant technology environment by implementing and continuously improving access controls, identity governance, security monitoring, risk management practices, data protection safeguards, and change management processes.
  • Translate organizational priorities into operational technology capabilities by partnering with IT and business leaders to develop and execute technology roadmaps that support our client's clinical, research, educational, and administrative objectives.
  • Establish and maintain operational disciplines that enable resilient service delivery, including business continuity, disaster recovery, incident response, crisis management, service management, and change management practices.
  • Serve as the steward of IT Operations investments, ensuring technology resources, vendors, contracts, infrastructure, and services are managed efficiently, aligned with organizational priorities, and deliver measurable value.
  • Define, monitor, and improve operational performance through meaningful metrics and service management practices, leveraging ITIL principles and other industry frameworks to drive service quality, user satisfaction, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and lead a high-performing IT Operations organization by establishing clear expectations, developing team capabilities, fostering accountability, and creating a culture of service excellence.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
You Have:
  • Master's degree in computer information systems or relevant equivalent.
  • 7 years working experience in a senior IT role.
  • Experience with IT infrastructure strategic planning and development, project management, and/or policy & procedure development.
  • Experience with network infrastructure technologies and cybersecurity controls.
  • Experience in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments, Hybrid Windows and MacOS endpoint environments, Cisco Networking equipment, Windows and Linux server environments, Cloud architecture (AWS) and server virtualization (VMWare).
  • Experience managing subject matter experts and cross-functional IT professionals.
