Job summary

Sahara Las Vegas is seeking a Director of IT Operations to lead enterprise IT service delivery, governance, information security, and strategic technology initiatives that support the casino resort operations in Las Vegas.

You will oversee Front of House and Back of House IT, manage projects, ensure regulatory compliance and cybersecurity, and drive continuous improvements to support 24x7 gaming and exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CIS, SIM or IT discipline (or equivalent)
• ITIL/ITSM or security certifications are a plus
• 7+ years in IT, supporting applications and systems
• Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Experience overseeing multiple IT departments and services
• Nevada Gaming License is required before entering the position

JOB TITLE:

Director of IT Operations

Job Description:

Leads enterprise IT service and support delivery, governance, information security, and strategic technology initiatives that support the casino resort operations. The primary focus is to ensure uninterrupted gaming operations, regulatory compliance, and business enablement across the enterprise enabling exceptional guest experiences.

Job Focus:

Focus is on, but not limited to the following:

• Oversee Front of House end-user support across resort casino operations including but not limited to Gaming, Slots, Tables, Cage, Hotel Operations, Food and Beverage, and Entertainment.
• Oversee technology service delivery to Back of House operations including but not limited to Human Resources, Finance and Accounting, Marketing, Procurement, Facilities and Executive Leadership.
• Lead the IT project management function across the technology portfolio ensuring projects are properly planned, executed and delivered within scope, schedule and budget.
• Oversee IT compliance programs supporting gaming regulations, audit requirements and technology controls and standards including maintaining documentation and operational practices necessary to support regulatory reviews and audits.
• Provide leadership oversight of cybersecurity programs ensuring protection of company assets, guest and employee information and critical business data.
• Direct all day-to-day IT operational activities across responsibility areas.
• Establish and maintain service management policies, procedures and operational standards including seeking opportunities to improve services to the organization.
• Collaborate with business leaders to identify, address and improve operational technology needs in support of a 24x7x365 environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in CIS, SIM or other IT discipline (or equivalent experience Technology is required.
• Relevant training and/o certifications (i.e.: ITIL, ITSM, CISSP, CISM, PMP) are a plus but not required.
• Seven (7)+ years in an IT environment, being involved in IT Applications and System use, support, and/or administration.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) is essential
• Must be highly analytical, technical and have strong interpersonal skills..
• Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and experience with front of house casino systems are highly preferred.
• Strong organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills and exhibit composure and professionalism while under pressure.
• Previous experience in a Manager or above capacity overseeing .multiple types of IT departments, systems and services is required
• A valid Nevada Gaming License will be required and must be obtained before entering this position.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
