The IT Infrastructure & Security Director is responsible for administering and monitoring the company’s core IT infrastructure systems as well as ensuring the security of those systems and safeguarding of the data contained therein. This includes overseeing the Amazon Web Services (AWS) production environment; troubleshooting both Windows and Linux instances; and managing server and cloud-based infrastructure for data processing, firewalls, intrusion detection/protection and SIEM systems, data storage systems, and Virtualization Infrastructure. Responsibilities also extend to Microsoft 365 and Entra administration, endpoints (laptops) and vendor-based services. The successful candidate will be able to work with and support offshore development teams, plan and design application architecture, recommend and perform security enhancements.

• Sets up and maintains cloud and managed-dedicated server environments
• Develops and implements information assurance/security standards and procedures.
• Coordinates, develops, and evaluates security programs for an organization.
• Recommends information assurance/security solutions to support customers’ requirements
• Identifies, reports, and resolves security violations.
• Adhere to all QMC HIPAA privacy policies and procedures. This includes always maintaining the confidentiality and security of sensitive patient information.
• Ensures consistent adherence to company attendance policies.
  
  

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  
  

Experience

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in an Infrastructure Security Management position
  
  

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on experience in the field of information and infrastructure security
• Experience managing and supporting web-based technologies, such as databases (MS SQL Always On clusters), application servers, web servers
• Experience with comprehensive cloud architecture and operations with Amazon Web Services, , (experience migrating datacenter systems to public cloud preferred)
• Experience administering Linux-based systems through command-line interface (CLI) tools and utilities
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 tenant environments, including configuration of Entra Single Sign-On (SSO) and implementation of Conditional Access policies
• Extensive knowledge and experience with a broad range of infrastructure, virtualization, storage, disaster recovery and datacenter systems, networking, security policies, database systems, etc.
• Self-driven and highly motivated
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Senior level understanding of Windows operating system and networking (TCP/IP)
• Deep understanding of security threats and vulnerabilities, with the ability to apply system hardening baselines to effectively balance risk mitigation with business objectives
• Significant understanding of endpoint management techniques and security tools, such as SentinelOne
• Experience in cybersecurity best practices, security platforms, and control frameworks such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and/or ISO 27001/27002, SOC II, and PCI
• Advanced understanding of routing protocols and distributions is a plus.
• Experience and conceptual understanding of firewalls, Security Groups, NACLs, Port Forwarding is a plus
