Establishes the strategy, vision and blueprint for how information technology can be applied across the organization to advance the strategic goals of the platform.We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Director of Information Technology to lead our enterprise-wide IT operations, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and business systems across the HDCM platform. A key priority for this role will be to lead ERP harmonization efforts across multiple operating companies, building a standardized, scalable foundation to support long-term integration, efficiency, and growth.
This leader will set technology strategy, drive digital transformation, and ensure systems enabling consistency, data visibility, and value creation. The role will oversee dotted-line IT teams across the platform, with the intent to establish a centralized IT structure as the platform matures.
This position will require strong alignment with Marmon IT strategy and security standards, ensuring all platform initiatives support broader corporate direction.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and lead the execution of an IT and ERP strategy aligned with platform growth and business integration priorities.
Drive ERP harmonization across the platform—evaluating current-state systems, leading gap assessments, and implementing a multi-phase roadmap to consolidate systems and improve consistency.
Lead IT operations including infrastructure, enterprise applications (ERP/CRM), cloud environments, cybersecurity, and end-user support.
Manage the IT budget with a focus on ROI, scalability, and cost optimization.
Partner closely with Finance, Operations, Commercial, and HR leaders to align business processes, data structures, and reporting capabilities.
Ensure robust cybersecurity and business continuity protocols across all locations.
Build and mentor a high-performing IT team, while managing vendor relationships and service agreements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
10+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Hands-on experience leading ERP implementations, integrations, or harmonization efforts across multiple business units or entities.
Strong understanding of enterprise systems, including ERP (e.g., Sage, Made2Manage) and CRM platforms.
Deep knowledge of enterprise systems (ERP, CRM), cloud platforms (VMware, AWS, Azure), cybersecurity, and infrastructure (Windows, AD, DNS, VoIP).
Proficiency with data systems (MS SQL) and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI).
Proven ability to lead change, align IT with business strategy, and scale systems to support long-term growth.
Experience managing external vendors, including contract negotiation and performance oversight.
Preferred Locations: Central to North AL, Jasper, AL, Nashville, TN, Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL (Open to remote for the right candidate)
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Experience working within a manufacturing and distribution environment, particularly in multi-site or global operations.
Familiarity with Marmon IT strategy and security standards or experience aligning with corporate IT governance.
