Job Title: Director of IT

Location: Remote – Must Reside in Florida (Tampa Metro Area Preferred)

Travel: Up to 40% Throughout the State of Florida

Position Overview

On behalf of our client, East 57th Street Partners is seeking a seasoned and visionary Director of IT to lead and modernize the technology function for a dynamic, multi-site organization operating across the state of Florida. This is a remote-based role; however, candidates must reside in Florida, with a preference for those located in the Tampa metro area, and be able to travel approximately 40% of the time to in-state sites.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic technology leader with a proven track record of delivering transformative IT solutions, enhancing operational performance, and guiding organizations through digital innovation in a decentralized setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an enterprise-wide IT strategy that aligns with the organization's goals, including infrastructure upgrades, cybersecurity enhancement, data governance, and digital transformation.
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including systems management, network support, help desk operations, and third-party vendor oversight.
  • Direct and manage key IT projects statewide, ensuring timely, on-budget, and high-quality delivery.
  • Oversee the IT budget and drive efficient allocation of resources to maximize technology ROI.
  • Build and lead a high-performing IT team, instilling a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant cybersecurity frameworks, privacy regulations, and IT governance standards.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to identify and implement technology solutions that drive strategic growth and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain and manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and service performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required; Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, PMP) strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver enterprise-level IT strategies and infrastructure improvements.
  • Broad technical expertise in systems integration, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and IT operations.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with experience managing geographically distributed teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence executive stakeholders.
  • Must reside in Florida; Tampa metro area preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% across Florida.
