The client is hiring a Director of IT to lead and oversee field IT support. This role involves managing dispersed teams, traveling to meet with managers and clients, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality IT support experience across all locations. The director will propose process improvements, maintain strong vendor partnerships, and help establish and meet business timelines.

Key responsibilities include leading, coaching, and mentoring field support managers; developing performance metrics (KPIs) to evaluate team performance; and managing vendor relationships with an emphasis on accountability. The director will help ensure solutions meet requirements for security, portability, and performance, while also supporting service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement through established service-level expectations (SLAs).

Candidates are expected to demonstrate the ability to travel, provide vendor management leadership, and operate at a director level or above. Strong leadership and communication, results orientation, and the ability to manage multiple teams at once are essential, along with independence, collaboration, effective multitasking, and strong organizational skills. The selected candidate will be expected to pass background checks.
