Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Director, Retrieval Operations – Inventory Strategy to translate client demand into actionable inventory plans across retrieval channels and vendor partners. You will own forecasting, prioritization, routing, allocation, pacing, and governance for Payer Retrieval operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, supply chain, analytics, finance, healthcare administration, or related field.
• Eight+ years of progressive experience in operations, inventory planning, demand forecasting, capacity planning, or related field, incl. 3+ years leading teams.
• Experience translating demand forecasts into actionable production and capacity plans in a multi-channel environment.
• Strong financial and analytical skills to evaluate productivity, capacity, yield, cost, and related tradeoffs.
• Experience partnering with Product and Engineering to develop operational tech and AI-enabled workflows.
• Executive communication skills to convert complex analysis into clear recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Own the inventory strategy and planning framework for Payer Retrieval, translating demand into weekly and daily operating plans.
• Establish forecasting, segmentation, and prioritization strategies based on client commitments, project pacing, and cost.
• Own routing framework for inventory across channels based on provider behavior and capacity.
• Monitor performance against client commitments and identify risks, leading recovery plans.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Workforce Management, Call Center, and Analytics.
• Develop dashboards and governance routines to measure inventory health and cost efficiency.
• Partner with BI to deliver accurate reporting and translate data into executive insights.
• Guide and develop the Inventory Strategy team and align with senior leadership.
