Job summary

Salt Lake Community College seeks a Director, International Student Services to lead the planning, development, and strategic oversight of services for international students in credit and non-credit programs. The Director oversees SEVIS reporting, Form I-20 issuance, admissions alignment, and international student advising.

The role hires, trains, and evaluates ISS staff and partners with faculty, admissions, and student services to advance retention and success.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in International Studies, Higher Education, Student Affairs, or a closely related field required.
Five years of progressively responsible professional experience in international student services or related area.
Two years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Demonstrated experience as a Designated School Official (DSO) with F-1 regulations knowledge.
Eligible to serve as a Principal DSO (PDSO) under federal rules.

Responsibilities

Plan, implement, and assess services for SLCC international students.
Define quality standards and accountability for ISS staff.
Hire train, mentor, and evaluate advising and support staff.
Recommend technology for immigration case management and SEVIS reporting.
Provide opportunities for international students to voice concerns and feedback.
Collaborate with Admissions, academic affairs, and other partners to support retention and progression.
Ensure compliance with F-1 regulations and SEVP requirements.
