Job summary

WesleyLife in Johnston, IA, seeks a Director of Staffing Resources to lead the FlexCare program, the organization’s internal staffing solution. You will drive growth, reduce agency utilization, and ensure continuity of care across WesleyLife communities.

You will oversee workforce deployment, partner with Talent Acquisition, and report on financial and operational outcomes. The centralized FlexCare Scheduler will report to you, supporting daily staffing and coverage decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience, including supervision of managers or department leaders.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Demonstrated success in operational leadership, team development, financial management, and achieving organizational goals.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship management skills.
• Prior experience with online scheduling platforms preferred.
• Friendly, enthusiastic, and professional attitude in all aspects of job duties.
• Possess good understanding of workforce metrics, non-productive and productive time and how they relate to scheduling on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and operational oversight for the FlexCare program.
• Develop and execute strategies to grow and sustain FlexCare as WesleyLife's internal staffing solution.
• Establish, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for agency reduction, labor utilization, retention and coverage.
• Maintain accountability for achievement of Zero Agency goals and program financial performance.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to recruit, onboard, and retain FlexCare team members.
• Oversee deployment and utilization of FlexCare resources across communities.
• Create training tools and onboarding plans for FlexCare team members and new schedulers.
• Supervise the Centralized FlexCare Scheduler for daily staffing coordination.
• Guide community schedulers to improve workforce effectiveness and consistency.
• Serve as SME within the UKG platform for scheduling optimization and analytics.
• Collaborate with community leadership to maximize resource deployment and cost avoidance.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvement and program expansion.
• Plan alignment meetings with stakeholders and conduct site visits for training and support.
