Job summary

Barnard College seeks a Senior Director of Student Financial Services in New York City to lead a newly integrated team responsible for student financial aid, billing, advising, and financial literacy. Qualifications

• Bachelors degree with eight+ years in financial aid administration and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of federal/state regulations, Title IV compliance, and reporting requirements.
• Experience with PowerFAIDS, Workday and Technolutions Slate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transformation of the Traditional Financial Aid and Bursar Offices into an integrated, student-centered Financial Services Office.
• Develop policies, procedures and internal controls ensuring compliance and audit readiness.
• Monitor regulatory changes and promote accountability and continuous learning.
• Utilize data analytics and system integrations to improve forecasting and operations.
• Serve as primary compliance officer for financial aid audits and reporting; coordinate with Admissions, Registrar and Access Barnard to support student success.
