Alcorn State University seeks a Director of Institutional Research and Assessment to lead data-driven evaluation of institutional strengths and weaknesses. The role supports administration with policy recommendations and targeted improvements based on comprehensive assessment results.

The incumbent will coordinate data gathering, analysis, and reporting to inform strategic planning, accreditation, and program evaluation across departments.

Formación

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
• Three (3) years’ related experience.
• Knowledge of data retrieval procedures and effective assessment methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and interpersonal.
• Strong time management skills.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Suite.
• Ability to work well with colleagues and foster a collegial environment conducive to teamwork.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate, develop, and implement a wide range of training programs independently and in collaboration with University administrators.
• Ability to facilitates the academic program review process

Responsabilidades

• Provides feedback to the administration on institutional strengths and weaknesses as revealed by the assessment process, via reports and briefing.
• Recommends policies and/or procedures when applicable which will improve institutional effectiveness and/or institutional assessment.
• Assists in identifying data required for effective institutional planning for assessing achievement when necessary and/or requested.
• Coordinates and assists in gathering, assessing and synthesizing data and information required for decision-making when necessary and/or as required.
• Cooperates and collaborates with other individuals, department/units of the university in carrying out their duties and responsibilities relative to assessment and providing external entities with information/data.
• Other related duties, as assigned
