Job summary

Prison Fellowship International seeks a Director of Institutional Partnerships to lead our institutional fundraising strategy, securing multi‑year philanthropic investment that fuels immediate impact and long‑term sustainability. The role partners with Development, Global Impact, and Finance to strengthen readiness for sophisticated fundraising and partnerships.

The Director will supervise the Senior Grant Writer, collaborate with contractors, and manage gifts‑in‑kind and fundraising frameworks

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in institutional fundraising or related field.
• Proven ability to lead complex proposal development with budgets, metrics, and compliance requirements.
• Experience shaping fundable initiatives in collaboration with program and operational leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a foundation-first institutional fundraising strategy prioritizing near-term cash revenue.
• Own institutional revenue performance, including multi-year forecasting and pipeline health.
• Lead cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship with executive leaders as appropriate.
• Represent PFI credibly in meetings, negotiations, and site visits with funders.
• Ensure timely, tailored stewardship and impact reporting to deepen trust and position PFI for growth.
• Maintain CRM entries for opportunities, submissions, and funder interactions.
