Job summary

The Air Force Research Laboratory in Dayton, OH seeks a Supervisory Program Analyst for the Inspector General's Office. You will lead a skilled team, shape data-driven recommendations for senior leaders, and ensure resources and programs are managed effectively and responsibly.

You will supervise the CCIP-related program, partner with AFMC/DAF/DoW IG offices, and deliver briefings on USAP status and best practices to HHQ and senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AFMC/DAF/DoW IG and AFRL leadership to tailor the Center inspection program to HHQ requirements.
• Analyze assessment data across AFRL and brief senior leadership on status and solutions.

As a Supervisory Program Analyst in the Inspector General's Office, you will lead a skilled team, shape data-driven recommendations for senior leaders, and help ensure resources and programs are managed effectively and responsibly.

Position Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Leads, manages, and directs the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Exercise and Center Inspection Team (CIT) of the Commander's Inspection Program (CCIP).
• Oversees the AFRL CCIP exercise and inspection programs, internal and external inspections, audits, evaluations, and deficiency management activities to evaluate unit effectiveness and compliance within statutory and regulatory requirements.
• To execute these programs, the position directly supervises a dedicated team that's duties includes: Inspection Planner, Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT) / Unit Self-Assessment Program (USAP) Manager, Inspector General Evaluation Management System (IGEMS) Manager, and Exercise Manager. - - Assigning technical projects to these team members, performing analysis for potential mission impact, and resolving organizational conflicts.
• Partners with Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), the Department of the Air Force (DAF), the Department of War Inspector General (DoW IG), and AFRL senior leadership to source inspection teams, generate new guidance, and tailor the Center inspection program to meet continually changing Higher Headquarters (HHQ) requirements.
• Leads the analysis of assessment data across AFRL, preparing and delivering briefings on USAP status, issues, solutions, and best practices to senior leadership and HHQ for strategic-level action.

Required Qualifications

• Must have at least one year experience at the next lowest grade level or equivalent level of the position being advertised.

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with Inspector General data systems (e.g., MICT, IGEMS) and compliance analytics platforms/dashboards.
• Previous experience partnering with Center, AFMC, DAF, or DoW IG offices to tailor and generate inspection guidance.
• Experience sourcing and leading cross-functional or integrated inspection teams.
• Understanding of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) enterprise, mission organizations, and operational structures.
• Demonstrated experience leading, managing, or directing inspection, evaluation, audit, or exercise programs.
• Knowledge of compliance, legal, and regulatory requirements related to inspection programs (e.g., CCIP, DAFI 90-302).
• Experience in a supervisory or leadership role, including assigning work, evaluating performance, and providing effective feedback.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess potential mission impacts and resolve complex organizational conflicts.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver high-level briefings to senior leaders.
• Supervisory Level: 1 - First-Level Supervisor (Exercises full authority in establishing performance standards and evaluations).
