THE OPPORTUNITY: Our client is a growing, privately held, multi-location logistics and distribution organization with operations across multiple U.S. states. The company is seeking an accomplished Director of Information Technology to lead its enterprise technology organization and build the infrastructure, systems, security, data capabilities, and IT operating model required to support continued growth.

This is a highly visible, hands-on technology leadership role for an individual who can operate equally well at the strategic and tactical levels.

The Director of IT will serve as the senior technology leader responsible for ensuring technology is secure, scalable, reliable, integrated, and aligned with business needs.

This is not a remote or hybrid position. The successful candidate must work onsite at the company's Spring / North Houston office.

THE MANDATE

The Director of IT will take ownership of the organization's technology environment across multiple locations and lead the continued modernization and integration of its technology platform.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Enterprise Technology Leadership

• Develop and execute an enterprise IT roadmap aligned with the company's operating strategy, growth plans, customer requirements, and evolving technology needs.
• Serve as a trusted technology advisor to executive leadership, translating business objectives into practical technology solutions and investments.
• Establish appropriate IT governance, standards, policies, architecture, and operating disciplines across the enterprise.

Infrastructure & Multi-Site Operations

• Lead the company's technology infrastructure across corporate and operational locations.
• Ensure the reliability, scalability, performance, and security of networks, servers, cloud environments, telecommunications, connectivity, end-user computing, and related technology platforms.
• Standardize technology environments and operating practices across locations while maintaining the flexibility required by individual operations.
• Build appropriate monitoring, redundancy, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity capabilities.

Cybersecurity & Risk

• Own the organization's cybersecurity strategy and continuously strengthen its overall security posture.
