Job summary

Venteon seeks a hands-on IT Director to shape the company’s technology strategy and lead day-to-day IT operations across manufacturing, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive IT leadership/oversight.
• 7+ years IT experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of networks, systems admin, cybersecurity, and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive the organization’s IT strategy, roadmap, and priorities.
• Oversee IT infrastructure: networks, servers, workstations, telecom, cloud, apps, user access.
• Provide oversight of PLEX ERP/MRP and other critical systems.
• Implement cybersecurity practices: endpoint security, access control, backups, vulnerability management, security awareness.
• Coordinate incident response and disaster recovery/business continuity planning.
• Lead help desk and end-user support functions.
• Identify tech-driven opportunities to improve manufacturing processes.
• Manage relationships with IT vendors, consultants, software providers, and partners.
• Lead technology projects from planning through execution within budget.

Job description

This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership opportunity responsible for developing the organization’s technology strategy while overseeing day-to-day IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, business systems, and technical support. The IT Director will partner closely with executive leadership and key business functions to ensure technology continues to support manufacturing operations, business growth, security, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of IT leadership, manufacturing technology experience, cybersecurity knowledge, and hands-on technical capabilities, with the ability to operate strategically while remaining engaged with the technical details.

Responsibilities

• Establish and drive the organization’s overall IT strategy, technology roadmap, and priorities based on current and future business needs.
• Lead the ongoing management and improvement of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, workstations, telecommunications, cloud platforms, applications, and user access.
• Provide oversight of the company’s PLEX ERP/MRP environment and other business-critical technology systems.
• Develop and maintain effective cybersecurity practices covering endpoint security, access management, data protection, backups, vulnerability management, and security awareness.
• Coordinate incident response efforts and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity strategies to minimize technology-related business disruption.
• Provide leadership and oversight for help desk and end-user support functions, ensuring issues are addressed efficiently and effectively.
• Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve manufacturing processes, operational efficiency, and overall business performance.
• Manage relationships with third-party IT providers, consultants, software vendors, and technology partners.
• Lead technology projects and implementations from planning through execution, ensuring projects align with business requirements, timelines, and budgets.
• Experience with ITAR & CMMC required

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive IT experience, including experience providing leadership or oversight of IT operations.
• 7+ years of IT experience within a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting manufacturing technology, ERP/MRP systems, and business applications.
• PLEX ERP/MRP experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and data protection.
