Job summary

Kern Medical in Bakersfield, CA seeks a Director of Imaging Services - Radiology to lead and manage all imaging operations hospital-wide. The role reports to the COO and oversees staffing, budgets, quality programs and compliance for CT, MRI, ultrasound and nuclear medicine.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in management or science with at least five years of radiology management experience or nine years supervisory radiology experience, ARRT certification, CA radiologic tech license,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in management or science with five years of management experience in a health facility radiology department.
• ARRT registration as a Radiologic Technologist and CA Radiologic Technologist license are required.
• Nine years of supervisory or special procedures experience in radiology may substitute the degree requirement.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates imaging services hospital-wide; aligns with physician chairperson and medical staff.
• Develops and implements strategic vision for radiology and outpatient imaging.
• Implements quality control, quality assurance and safety programs; manages budgeting and records.
• Oversees contracts, purchasing, and vendor relations; ensures regulatory compliance.
• Provides ongoing education and training for radiology staff and maintains department performance.
