Charlottesville Health & Rehabilitation Center in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead staffing, onboarding, payroll, and employee relations while advancing engagement and growth across the center.

You will drive recruitment, manage onboarding, oversee payroll, support staff on HR matters, and maintain compliant records to ensure optimal staffing and care delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Experience in Human Resources or related field.
• Understanding of labor laws and best practices.
• Ability to effectively coordinate people and resources.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead recruitment efforts to find and hire the best candidates for each role.
• Manage employee onboarding and new hire orientation; Ensure employees are set up for success and that all employment records are maintained in compliance.
• Manage bi-weekly payroll process and ensure all timecards submitted are complete and accurate.
• Support staff and serve as an employee resource to answer questions related to HR matters including benefits, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare and update schedules and daily staffing and ensure adequate staffing ratios.
• Ensure the electronic scheduling system stays up to date to accurately reflect staffing schedule.
• Coordinate employee requests for time off to ensure proper coverage of nursing units.
• Develop and maintain good working rapport with other departments in the healthcare center.
