Job summary

Elanco in Elwood, KS, is seeking a Director of Health, Safety and Environment to lead the site’s HSE program and align with global strategies. You will drive robust HSE initiatives and partner with global resources to advance safety and environmental performance.

You will mentor the HSE team, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage wastewater and sustainability initiatives while balancing operational flexibility with safety. Travel available as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Engineering, Sciences, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the site HSE team, aligning with plant and corporate strategies.
• Develop tools and strategies to demonstrate compliance while meeting operational needs.
• Partner with corporate and global resources to bridge silos and engage stakeholders.
• Interpret regulatory and corporate requirements and translate them into sustainable improvements.
• Oversee site environmental programs, including wastewater treatment and sustainability initiatives.
