Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Director, HR Business Partner to partner with Enterprise Risk clients and drive people initiatives aligned to business strategy. You will lead senior executives in translating business goals into a robust talent strategy, workforce planning, recruiting and risk mitigation across HR domains.

The role requires you to coach leaders, partner with HR functions, and create HR programs that deliver competitive advantage while guiding a values-driven culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
• At least 7 years of client facing experience OR at least 7 years of consulting experience OR a combination.
• At least 7 years of experience in Human Resources.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience preferred.
• MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional HR Certification or Senior Professional HR certification or coaching certification preferred.
• 9+ years of client facing experience or 9+ years of consulting experience or a combination.
• 9+ years of experience in Human Resources or Human Capital Consulting.

Responsibilities

• Consult with the senior executives, other HRBPs and HR partner groups to drive business success by providing thought leadership and direction.
• Lead senior executives in translating the business strategy into a talent strategy that embeds a culture of value and equity for associates.
• Define a talent strategy that supports business strategy/objectives and strategic workforce planning.
• Develop recruiting/retention strategies and assess skills gaps with the business.
• Assess Human Capital risks and develop remediation strategies as appropriate.
• Influence prioritization of work to drive value for client groups.
• Provide executive coaching and advice on leadership, teamwork, org design, and strategy.
• Create and support HR programs and initiatives leading to competitive advantage.
