Job summary

Sinclair Community College is seeking a Director of Human Resources to provide executive leadership for the college’s HR functions at the Dayton campus. The role partners with senior leadership to design and execute strategies that align people practices with institutional priorities and compliance requirements.

The Director will oversee employee relations, recruitment and onboarding, benefits, compensation, HR data, and performance management, while guiding HR managers and staff to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, organizational development, higher education administration, or a related field.
• Professional HR certification preferred (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent).
• Minimum of eight years of progressively responsible HR experience.
• Minimum of five years of progressive leadership or management experience, including supervision of HR staff.
• Higher education experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead institution-wide HR programs, policies, and services.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, benefits, compensation, and HR data management.
• Advise administrators and managers on complex HR and organizational matters.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and institutional policies.
• Develop and implement institution-wide HR initiatives and programs.
