Job summary

Covenant Health in Knoxville, TN seeks a Director of HR Shared Services to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for centralized HR service delivery across the organization.

This role designs, implements and optimizes shared services models, drives SLAs and KPIs, leads Lean-driven improvements, ensures compliance with employment laws, and partners with HR leadership to enhance the employee experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field.
• 7-10 years HR experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience in HR operations or shared services environments.
• Knowledge of HR systems and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and Lead HR Shared Services functions including HR operations, employee transactions, and service center activities.
• Design and implement scalable shared services strategies.
• Establish and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Drive process improvements using Lean or similar methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with HR leadership and business partners.
• Oversee HR systems to ensure data integrity and usability.
• Lead change management initiatives.
• Manage vendors and service providers.
• Develop and manage departmental budget.
• Coach and develop HR team members.
• Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
