Job summary

Ability Matters is a Columbus, OH-based organization seeking a Director of Housing to lead residential programs with a person-centered approach. The role focuses on operations, compliance, team development, and outcomes for individuals served.

The leader will engage families and partners, manage financial processes, and participate in on-call coverage to ensure safety and continuity of services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• 3+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid OH driver's license and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee residential programs’ daily operations, staffing, and services to align with person-centered expectations.
• Maintain regulatory compliance with DODD and internal standards, overseeing documentation and training.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, and performance development to build accountable, collaborative teams.
• Champion individual outcomes by monitoring programs and promoting independence.
• Foster transparent communication with families and service teams.
• Provide financial oversight and ensure responsible resource management.
• Participate in on-call rotations for evening and weekend coverage.
