Job summary

Community Housing Innovations, Inc. (CHI) seeks a Program Director to lead a permanent affordable supportive housing program within CHI’s master lease of 81 subsidized apartments.

The Director oversees a three Case Managers and one Property Manager, ensuring housing stability and compliance with funders and DHS. The role involves managing rent collection, reporting, and program KPIs, while aligning with CHI’s strategic direction as part of the Leadership Team.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or Public Administration.
• Eight years of experience plus five years of supervisory and managerial experience in social work or human services, program administration, and facilities management.
• Experience with immigrants and immigration issues prioritized.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with CAPS and AWARDS prioritized.
• Ability to develop and manage program budgets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee tenant services per organizational principles and program requirements.
• Ensure DHS tenant referrals are eligible and certified for the program.
• Direct Case Management and housing stability services for tenants.
• Develop tenant support programs such as Workforce Development and Financial Literacy.
• Maintain a network of external providers offering support services to tenants.
• Ensure compliance with funding contracts, partnerships, and laws.
• Update and maintain policy manuals in compliance with DHS/CHI.
• Support procurement and contract administration with clear scopes of work.
• Submit program reports to CHI, DHS, and oversight agencies on schedule.
• Direct supervision of Case Managers and Property Manager.
• Triage difficult resident cases and assist in special needs cases.
• Document interactions in CARES, CAPS and AWARDS.
