Job summary

OUTRIGGER Reef Waikiki Beach Resort in Honolulu, HI is seeking a Director of Housekeeping to lead the housekeeping, pool and public area operations, ensuring exceptional guest services while managing operating expenses. This leadership role requires a hands-on approach to maintain high standards in a busy resort environment.

The director collaborates with management and other department heads to develop and implement preventative maintenance, quality control programs and safety procedures;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Travel Industry Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory and operational experience in housekeeping operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise housekeeping, pool and public area operations to ensure quality guest services.
• Coordinate with management and other department heads to develop and implement housekeeping preventative maintenance and quality control programs.
• Assist with property inspections and ensure safety standards compliance.
• Perform administrative duties including employee scheduling, payroll documentation, assignment of duties, occupancy forecasts, linen inventories, and employee evaluations and counseling.
