Job summary

Double Tree Bloomington Minneapolis South is seeking a Director of Housekeeping to lead laundry and housekeeping operations, ensuring flawless presentation of guest rooms and public areas.

Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will set strategic direction, manage budgets, recruit and develop staff, and maintain safety and regulatory standards. This role requires on-site availability across shifts, including weekends, to drive guest satisfaction and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be reliable, report to work on time, and be able to work all shifts on-site.
• Must have open availability Monday-Sunday and be able to work at least one weekend day per week.
• Must be able to work the necessary hours and a rotating schedule to support the needs of the department, including days, nights, weekends, holidays and key events.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be currently eligible to work in the United States of America and able to present required original employment authorization documents, as required to complete the Form I‑9 on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Direct all Housekeeping operations, including budgeting, forecasting, inventory control, and policy implementation.
• Oversee cleanliness, service, and product quality standards in guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices, and meeting areas.
• Partner with department leaders to support promotional initiatives and capital improvement projects to enhance facilities.
• Drive engagement and retention through performance management, professional development, employee appreciation and recognition programs.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, and training of Housekeeping and Laundry staff. Identify high-potential talent and support succession planning.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, particularly with chemicals and cleaning supplies.
