Job summary

Lakewood Health System in Minnesota seeks a Hospital Pharmacy Director to lead hospital, oncology, and infusion medication management with a focus on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee procurement, preparation, dispensing, distribution, inventory control, and pharmacy information systems while developing staff and partnering with clinicians to advance patient-centered care across Lakewood Health System.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Current pharmacist licensure in Minnesota.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy practice.
• Previous pharmacy management, supervisory, or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medication safety, regulatory compliance, and pharmacy information systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and organizational leaders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, mentor, and develop pharmacy personnel.
• Knowledge of applicable pharmacy regulations and standards, including USP <797>, USP <800>, DEA, Board of Pharmacy, and other federal, state, and local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for hospital pharmacy, oncology pharmacy, and infusion medication management services.
• Oversee procurement, preparation, dispensing, distribution, inventory management, medication safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and pharmacy information systems.
• Lead and develop pharmacy personnel, promote a collaborative and accountable team culture, support budgeting and financial performance.
• Partner with providers, nursing leadership, administration, and other departments to advance safe and effective medication management.
