Job summary

WVU Medicine is seeking a Director, SMG Operations III to lead hospital-based physician service lines across the WVU Medicine Health System. The role focuses on identifying new development opportunities, creating financial projections, and presenting business plans with oversight across practices.

The position requires strong leadership, collaboration with hospital leadership, and in-person presence at SMG sites, with hybrid options over time.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare or related field with 3 years of management or healthcare administrative experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare or related field with 5 years of management or healthcare administrative experience
• Experience in healthcare business development and ongoing operations

Responsibilities

• Identifies new opportunities for growth in assigned service lines of support across hospital-based environments.
• Serves as primary partner between SMG Core Administration, local hospital and leadership teams and system-wide support departments.
• Develops business plans with financial projections, market analyses and project timelines.
