The Opportunity

The Director of Health & Wellness is part of the Care Services Team and will be responsible for overseeing the comprehensive care services provided to our residents. This pivotal role ensures high standards of care and compliance with all regulatory requirements. This leadership will directly impact the quality of life of our residents through meticulous oversight and proactive health management.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage the Care Services Department to provide quality care and services to residents.
  • Serve as liaison between residents, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers regarding health issues.
  • Perform hands-on care procedures within the scope of practice allowed by law and company policies.
  • Support and practice the philosophy, objectives, and standards of the Resident Services department to ensure quality care.
  • Ensure resident care meets personal, physical, and cognitive needs, maximizing independence and social interaction.
  • Maintain knowledge of OSHA and state regulations, monitoring community compliance.
  • Organize and staff the Resident Services Department effectively.
  • Monitor outcomes by evaluating staff performance, compliance, and resource use.
  • Ensure infection control practices are in place and staff are trained accordingly.
  • Lead staffing, hiring, orientation, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
  • Educate staff on incident reporting, especially for falls.
  • Lead efforts in leadership, customer service, safety, and communication.
What You’ll Bring

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current RN/LPN license in the state.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid driver’s license as per property and state requirements.
  • Ability to pass background and drug screens.
  • Two years’ experience in assisted living preferred.
  • Knowledge of state regulations.
  • Proficiency with clinical software systems like PointClickCare and OnShift.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; problem-solving and data analysis skills.
